$3200 needed for Heartworm surgery

Meet Rexy

When his owner entered hospice care, Rexy was confined to an outdoor shed, left in the heat and darkness. He was eventually rescued and came to New Leash on Life severely ill and malnourished. The reason for the surgical amputation of his legs remains unknown, but his resilience and determination are remarkable. Unfortunately, after undergoing three rounds of heartworm treatment without success, the only remaining option is surgery to remove the adult worms from his heart. If all goes well, this procedure will cost $3,200. Rexy has been trained as an emotional service dog, spreading joy and hope to countless individuals.
